It's begun... again...

So, this morning I got my lazy arse out of bed at 0430 (and I cant even begin to tell you how hard that was considering who I was sleeping next to!) and headed to the infamous Cootha for the 'Christos Revenge' session with the BoomTimers.

I was a little nervous to imminently find out how much fitness and form I had lost, having not ridden much over the past few months. But, decided to just suck it up and giv'er.

First lap felt nice and easy (famous last words), so decided to finish the session in the big ring only - yeouch. It hurt a bunch. But, a good hurt. I was climbing ALOT better than I had in the past. Unsure why (fresh legs? carb loaded from the spaghetti al limone the night before? clenbuterol in my pesto chicken?) but it felt good.

The only thing lacking for me at the moment (apart from the obvious) is that my lungs STILL havent recovered 100% from my bout of pneumonia in July. I still cough up alot of chunks, and my lungs sting at the top of my chest. Im wary of touching an inhaler, as Ive noticed that, while my lungs hurt less when using it - the ache more the next day... and compound.

So, might be time to see a specialist and get that all sorted 100%. Last doc I saw just said I had alot of scar tissue at the top opening to my lungs, and to suck it up. But, that theory isnt working anymore.

But, overall - it felt awesome to get up and head to the hill. Was nice to be a part of the BoomTime group again - and as always, nice to see familiar faces.

Looking forward to tomorrows session!
